Your Stay

What are your check-in and check-out times?

You can check in to your accommodation from 3pm.

Check-out time is 11am. You can request a later check-out time of 11.30am and we will accommodate this if we have availability. Check-out times later than 11.30am can be arranged on request, subject to a fee and availability – please get in touch with us.

What is your cancellation policy?

You can cancel your booking up to 24 hours before your stay and you will not be charged. If you cancel your booking less than 24 hours before your stay, you will be charged.

Can I amend my booking?

You can amend your booking up to 24 hours before your stay.

Is there free Wi-Fi?

Yes, we have free high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the hotel.

Is The Burlington Hotel dog friendly?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate dogs except for assistance dogs.

How can I find you?

We’re on Marine Parade in Worthing, right on the seafront. Find us here.

Can we bring children?

We’d be delighted to welcome the whole family. We offer family rooms that can sleep up to 5 guests (2 adults, 2 children and an infant in a cot). Children are classed as 0-12 years of age.

Can I reserve a cot for my room when I travel with children?

Yes, we can provide cots for infants. Please contact us to request one.

How can I pay for my booking?

We accept cash payments, all major credit and debit cards including American Express.

What is accessibility like at the hotel?

The entrance to the hotel is step-access only; there is no ramp. The ground floor area is fully accessible and there is a lift to all bedroom floors. Please contact us if you have any questions.

Which train station is closest?

Worthing station is less than 10 minutes away by taxi, or a walk through the town will take approximately 20 minutes. More travel information is available on our contact page.

Is there parking?

We can currently provide parking permits for the roads around the hotel for £5 per day – just ask us when you arrive. Please note we will no longer be able to provide parking permits from the 1st October 2023. Off-site paid public parking is available to guests on Marine Parade and the surrounding area.

There are several paid public car parks in Worthing town centre that can be found here.
We find Waze to be a reliable route finder, should need you need any additional help finding us.

Do you offer in-room extras?

We will happily arrange for Champagne or wine to be in your room ready for your arrival. Please contact us no later than 24 hours before your stay so we can arrange this for you.

Does the hotel have a bar and restaurant?

Yes, our beach-facing bar and restaurant offer a wide range of drinks including carefully chosen wines, local craft beers, and a selection of spirits. Our Sea Pearl restaurant offers a delicious menu of European cuisine, with a selection of seafood and juicy burgers and steaks straight from the grill.

Is there a minimum age requirement to reserve a hotel room?

Under 18s are not permitted to stay without a parent or guardian.

Do you have connecting rooms?

Unfortunately, we don’t have any connecting rooms. However, if you’re travelling as a family, we offer family rooms that can accommodate two adults, two children and an infant.

How can I make a group reservation?

A reservation of six rooms or more is considered a group booking. If you wish to make a group booking, please call the hotel directly on 01903 211222.

Can I smoke in the hotel?

We have a strict no-smoking policy throughout the hotel, which includes the hotel balconies. However, you can smoke on the restaurant terrace on the ground floor.

Do the bedrooms have heating and air conditioning?

All our rooms have heating but not air conditioning.

Can I host a private event at The Burlington Hotel?

We’d be thrilled to help you host your event. If you’re looking to celebrate your marriage, a special birthday or anniversary, or are planning a business meeting or work event, we have a range of function rooms and event facilities available. Get in touch with us to discuss your requirements.

How many floors are there and are they accessible by lift?

We have three floors and they are all accessible by lift.

When is the restaurant open?

Breakfast: Monday to Friday 7am – 9.30am
Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays 8am – 10am

Lunch & Dinner: Monday – Thursday 12pm-2.45pm and 6pm-8.45pm
Friday, Saturday & Sunday 12pm – 8.45pm

Afternoon Tea: Monday to Saturday 12pm – 3pm
Advanced reservations only

Sunday Roasts: October – March, Sundays 12pm – 4pm

Do you offer room service?

Yes. Drinks are available via room service round-the-clock, while times for in-room dining are the same as our restaurant opening times.

What time is breakfast served?

Monday to Friday, breakfast is served 7am – 9am. On weekends and Bank Holidays, breakfast is served 8am – 10am.

Do you serve afternoon tea?

Yes, we offer a wonderful afternoon tea Monday – Saturday, 12pm – 3pm, by advance booking only.

Come and enjoy this delicious tradition in our restaurant or on our sun terrace (weather permitting), while drinking in the breath-taking sea views. Choose from our collection of speciality teas and coffees and sample a spectacular array of sweet and savoury delights.

You’ll have three tiers of treats to enjoy – freshly-made finger sandwiches, home-baked cakes, and scones served with clotted cream and jam. Please mention any allergies or dietary requirements when you book with us.

Is there a dress code in the restaurant?

Our bar and restaurant are informal, so feel free to dress up or down.

Do you cater for dietary requirements?

Please notify your waiter of any food allergies or food intolerances when ordering. We cannot guarantee the total absence of allergens in our dishes, but we will do all we can to accommodate special requests where possible.

Can I book a table if I’m not staying at the hotel?

Yes, of course – we’d love you to visit us for a bite to eat or just a drink or two.

Do I have to make a reservation?

We recommend booking but can accommodate walk-ins if we have availability. If you’d like to have afternoon tea with us, you will need to book in advance.

Is there parking?

Public parking is available to guests on Marine Parade and in the area surrounding the hotel. Local parking charges apply.

Can children dine at The Burlington Hotel?

Yes, we offer a children’s menu – see our main menu for details.

Who is the Head Chef at The Burlington Hotel?

Our Head Chef is Alistair Kidd, who has a wealth of experience in both restaurants and hotels. He was Second Chef at Marco Pierre White’s Michelin-starred restaurant Mirabelle, worked at Browns in Brighton, and before joining the team at The Burlington Hotel, was Head Chef at Worthing’s Chatsworth Hotel. Alistair has a particular passion for meat and seafood and is highly skilled at devising diverse menus to suit every palate.
