Kind words from our customers

Although a few of the rooms have still yet to be refurbished, the hotel is still tidy and clean. The character of its period shows through with its high ceilings and rails.
The food is really good. Very high quality and good portion size.
The bar area can be noisy but it’s a pleasant atmosphere.
Staff are very friendly, helpful and courteous.

We took a family room for one night and it was a sea facing one. Beautiful scene from the window. Good breakfast and well behaved staff. It is closer to beach, town centre and theatre. We recommend this place and will come again.

This is a very reasonably priced hotel in a fantastic location right on the seafront. We booked a family room, which turned out to have lovely sea views, comfortable beds and a spacious bathroom with plenty of fluffy white towels. The staff are cheerful, friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was cooked to order, and delicious. The whole atmosphere is very easy-going and everyone feels welcome. We’ll be back.

We stayed here last year for one night. We had no hot water and had to be moved to another floor at 9pm with a baby. The staff sorted after about an hour of notifying them of the issue, and the room we were moved to was an upgrade.. but both rooms were very dated (not in a nice historic way to match the building!) carpets grubby, walls cracked, cushions on the beds and sofa were flat and very well worn, fan didn’t work in the second room, blinds were broken, and over all a below average stay for what could be a beautiful setting. The breakfast however was an entirely different experience the food very delicious and the staff were extremely accommodating for my husband who had a very small timescale to eat, as he had to start work at 7:30am – the restaurant very nice and clean, modern, and felt like a different place to the hotel side of things.

Good size family room for only two of us. Sea view, looking down the promenade. Very clean and fresh towels supplied. Breakfast very good and definitely a highlight, even though buffet style. Sausages were great! Staff all very helpful. Very satisfied and would definitely return.

We stayed for a total of three nights; three different rooms and each room just got better and better. Our favorite was the Seaside panormnaic view from the executive / Honeymoon suite – absolutely gorgeous….The breakfasts included in the room rate are exceptionally good value – varied, flexible and very yummy….The rooms were clean and well maintained; the beds were okay – If I owned a hotel I would have to invest in better beds – its the thing most of us miss when we are traveling – sleeping in our own beds so I do feel that hotels could invest more into having really comfy beds…

We came to worthing to visit our friends, they recommended Burlington as they live nearby. We stayed in a spacious room with a sea view. Although we could not take our pet dog with us because the hotel does not allow pets. The room was clean and tidy, with a nice decor. We all had a dinner and drinks till late on Saturday night. The place was lively. It was a pleasant experience. We will be back.

We have just held a family wedding at The Burlington and all the staff were so very helpful and accomodating to any of our requests and also gave all kinds of helpful suggestions. Several of our guests stayed overnight and said their rooms were comfortable, warm and spacious. The bride & groom had a corner room with two large windows overlooking the beach, even sea views from the bathroom, which was exceptional. The bar has a lovely terrace and it was blissful to hear the sea lapping on the shore whilst sipping your favourite tipple. The tables for the wedding reception were laid out beautifully and everything had been set out so the day flowed without any hitches even down to the staff adjusting the temperature of the room to suit our various requirements. Food was plentiful and promptly served. The cost was very reasonable and I would recommend this hotel to anyone. A big thank you to all the staff at The Burlington!
